Steering the noise to map sustainability goals for Wagamama 2020

Ongoing Project

Is replacing single-use plastic with convoluted ‘bio’ single-use plastic, the informed and ethical decision for society?

Looking behind the curtain, the ban on single-use plastics is really a ban to suppress our throw-away culture of single-use and repurposable products.

-

When it comes to the debate on recycle vs compost, many people are confused and often mis-led by companies such as Vegware, voicing the need to replace widely recyclable plastics with ‘compostable’ PLA-based material which gets incinerated anyway.

Even the problem is the model of bin and regrow is systemic with the throwaway society, instead we need a more sustainable closed-loop economy.
